Nova Scotia Research
There are many different types of research being conducted in the offshore sector. The Environmental Studies Research Fund, funds from the oil and gas sector, has a list of current and past research conducted on offshore oil and gas in Canada. There are many more projects aside from those funded by ESRF. For example, James et al. identified Scotian Shelf and the Gulf of St. Lawrence as important foraging habitat for critically endangered leatherback sea turtles.
